See and Be Scene

Again, somewhat short notice, but tonight is an excellent night for a live show! You may have to drive carefully, but it will be worth it. Detroit's The Hard Lessons are playing at Mickey Finn's Pub! The first time I saw this band I had never even heard their music prior to the show, but they still got me dancing. Basically, straight up rock and roll that makes you want to sing along. Do NOT miss this one!

Thanksgiving Eve - Party Time, Excellent!

The night before Thanksgiving is supposed to be the biggest bar night of the year. This year should be no different, but you have some very cool options on things to do:

Quest For Fire Studios is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve party at Mickey Finns. Exhibiting artists include Austin Kudzia, David J Sell, Jerry Gray, and more! Bands include The Gad, CL1, WEe, Lucian Townes, and 7 Deadly 5. Also, they are inviting artists to bring work to swap and sell for holiday gifts to patrons and fellow artists.

Manhattans is also having a Thanksgiving Eve party featuring the omnipresent and enigmatic Quickness! Music starts at 9pm and there are sure to be special guests all night. $2 Labatt Drafts, $3 Long Island Iced Teas, and $2.50 Wild Turkey. Head down, I hear the bartender is pretty cool...

Post Holiday Regift Levels at All Time High, Heads Will Explode

Reminder for The Regift Party tomorrow night. Aside from the regift exchange, attendees are also encouraged to bring their own creations to barter and trade. And no, burning illegal DVDs does not count as 'creating' them. Although I'd be willing to trade a super rare Toboggan card for an Oskar Fischinger bootleg.
