Contrary to it's Name, Old West End Actually Makes You Younger

Saturday and Sunday the Old West End will be the place to be. There will be tons of food, artist booths, music, and lawns covered with wonderful junk as far as the eye can see. If you don't have any friends in the OWE, make them quickly- because you might as well camp out for the weekend.

I couldn't find any promotional images for the Festival, so I used an image from last year's festivities and made my own- it best serves as a warning of where compulsive garage saling and bargain hunting can lead by the end of the night.

Friendly Reminder

This is just a reminder to anyone interested in participating in the Old West End T-Shirt Project. The deadline is Febuary 15th- so make sure you get your application together. Above you will find Toboggan's design (or some variation of the above) that will hopefully be on sale as well.

Twenty-five percent of all proceeds will go towards the Collingwood Art Center- which they will hopefully be using to think up a better name for the 'Taste of the CAC' fundraiser.

T-Shirts are All the Rage

Every one's got t shirt ideas. I know you do. Seems nowadays everyone has been tempted by the easy start-up, low-cost, potentially lucrative business at one point or another. But if you don't have the time and resources to go big business, you can still channel your creative energy into garment form- and help out the Collingwood Art Center at the same time.

Kelly is calling for artists to make t shirts that will be sold during the Old West End Festival, with 25% of the sales going to the Collingwood Art Center. Minimum is twenty shirts, and the wearables should be somewhat OWE themed. Who knows where this could lead you.
