“In order to continue our Friday late night music series, we are required to make these events 18+ and for members only. Guests have the option of paying their entire membership within 30 days of registration. A state ID will be required to gain access to the CAID for all events. The admission charge for our Friday late night music series will be $5 per person and supports the artists providing both live and recorded music and performance work. CAID is currently establishing a special fund that will support local music artists with grants to support their creative endeavors including studio costs, travel costs, performance fees and more. Your membership supports this and many other programs at CAID and ensures the continuation of important exhibitions and events.
CAID’s Mission: The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit is a community based non-profit organization. CAID fosters and promotes the essential link between contemporary arts and contemporary society through its exhibitions, performances, critical and public discourse and the funding of contemporary arts and art related activities.

©POP Gallery is proud to be hosting the World Premier and first leg in the exhibit tour of "Carnivora -The Dark Art Of The Automobile" which will coincide with the book release of the same name published by Barany Books/Scapegoat Publishing.
More than 80 internationally renown post-Pop artists contributed a piece or two for the book and exhibit (much, but not all of the works in the book will be on display) most notably, Robert Crumb, HR Giger, Robert Williams, Marshall Arisman, Stanley Mouse, Joe Coleman & Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO. Detroit is well represented in both the book and exhibit with Niagara, Glenn Barr, Tom Thewes, Camilo Pardo, Chris Dean & Topher Crowder.
An incredible array of some of the most well-known, Comic Expressionists, Post-Pop painters and Kustom Kulture renegades , all celebrating Detroit's gift to the human race.
