Considering 1) the disappearance of the American vacation, 2) the ratio of U.S time off as compared to that of other industrial nations, and 3) that today is the Monday after the Super Bowl- I'm not sure that www.superbowlmonday.com is such a bad idea.
John over at The Lone Microphone sent this along. It's a Bonnaroo design contest with a March 16th deadline so get crackin'.
The Museum has two new exhibits to catch. 'Mummies to Monet' opened over the weekend, which highlights works of art collected by Edward Libbey, his wife, and his endowment. The big draw here will be the mummies, which usually are not on view because they are seriously creepy. And Friday the 8th will see the opening of 'Lola Alvarez Bravo and Her Circle'. A photography exhibit that will feature images from not only Bravo herself, but also one-time husband Manuel Alvarez Bravo, amongst others.
20 North is having a Black History Month show through Febuary 28th. The show features art from Aaron Bivins, Wil Clay, Wade Harrison, Ramon Tiggs, and others, with a talk from author/illustrator/Coretta Scott King Award-winner, Wil Clay on February 24th, at 2 pm.

Too Hot Outside? Head North
20 North Gallery is currently holding it's 2007 Invitational Exhibit. Lots of good, local artists here. The show features work from H. P. Beckman, Aaron Bivins, Mark Matthews, Mike Sohikian, and more.
The show runs through July 27th, so you have plenty of time, and no excuses, to make it down there.
Funny enough the gallery itself is located at 18 North St. Clair Street.
