Happy birthday to Marisol Escobar today (above). Stop by the Museum, where her 'Cocktail Party' can just as easily be a birthday party.
Also today we mourn the death of Robert Rauschenberg. Who, on May 12th, was unfortunately erased from the art world like a de Kooning sketch. Post-abstract expressionism, pre-pop, this man was in a world all his own.
