Toboggan is all about the local art, but it's always nice to let you know what else is out there for the art enthusiast.
Right now I'm loving Neasden Control Centre out of the UK. It's a artist collective that incorporates a lot of collage and scribbles (awesome)- graphic artists that still retain a nice, organic feel. (myspace)
Rosson Crow is a wonderful, young painter. I don't get excited about too many new painters- but she incorporates architectural spaces, with wild, loose, brushstrokes- that come out amazingly realistic. You can draw your own juxtapositions from that. (myspace)
I also wanted everyone to know about the new 'Art Assist' program, which I will post more about on Thursday. It's basically a great way to buy original art that you love, even if you're strapped for cash. Sign me up!
